Innovation workshops are designed for interprofessional learning and are accredited for continuing education.

Penn Medical Ethics also offers online courses in human subjects research, trial design, and rationing care for clinicians earning continuing education credits and for individuals seeking ethics training. Format

Replace long lectures and expensive travel with convenient learning.

  • Penn Medical Ethics Continuing Education online ethics training is designed for effective learning in small segments. Watch video lectures, view supplementary materials, and take quizzes. Keep handouts for later reference. To successfully complete a course, score at least 80% on the quiz within the maximum number of attempts offered.

Innovation Workshops combine individual learning with facilitated conversations among colleagues. Watch videos and learn principles in the first week. In virtual meetings with teammates and a facilitator, relate lessons to your work, identify a challenge, set a goal, and draft an intervention. In week four, share your plan and receive advice as all groups report out.

  • Physicians and physician assistants may earn CME credits, and nurses may earn NCPD hours by successfully completing these courses. Pharmacists may also earn ACPE contact hours, and Pennsylvania Physical Therapists may earn credits for workshops. Check course pages for details.

Learn at your convenience online, including on mobile devices.

The Division of Medical Ethics is among the leading centers of bioethics scholarship in the world. Online Continuing Education ethics courses extend that expertise to clinicians and researchers for free.

Innovation Workshops are taught by faculty from the Master of Health Care Innovation and facilitated by MHCI alumni and other practitioners. In only 4 hours over 4 weeks, health care professionals can apply lessons from these leaders to their own work.
