Karen is an instructional designer in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy Online Educational Initiatives. She brings design thinking to collaborations with faculty across the Perelman School of Medicine and Wharton, and works with MEHP team members to create compelling learning experiences. Before coming to the University of Pennsylvania, Karen was principal in her design firm, which specialized in medical publishing, online nursing education, and health literacy. And, she has taught courses in design at Philadelphia University, Montgomery County Community College, and the University of the Arts.
